Abstract Submission
Abstracts are invited from all professionals involved in burn care, burn research, rehabilitation, prevention, and related disciplines. Submissions are welcome from both members and non-members of ECPB.
All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the official online submission system. Abstracts sent by email or in hard copy will not be accepted.
All abstracts must be written in English.
Accepted abstracts will be published as submitted in the congress materials and may be included in the official congress app, programme, or abstract book. Submission of an abstract implies that all authors have read and approved the content and agree with its submission. If an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register for the congress.

Submission Guidelines
During submission, the following information must be provided:
Abstract title. presenting author details (title, name, institution, address, email, affiliation), Co-authors (name and affiliation), preferred presentation type (oral or poster), category (see below), Abstract text, biography of presenting author (required for oral presentations only).
Abstract title: Maximum length of 20 words, use sentence case (not all capitals). Do not include author names or affiliations in the title.
Abstract text: Maximum length of 500 words. The abstract must be structured as follows:
Background
Methods
Results
Conclusion
Abstracts without results or without a clear objective may be rejected. Do not include author names, institutions, or identifying information in the abstract text. Avoid commercial product names; use generic names where possible. Tables and figures are not permitted unless specifically requested.
The abstract will be published exactly as submitted. Please check spelling and grammar carefully before submission. Once submitted, no changes may be possible.
Biography (oral presentations only): A short biography of the presenting author must be provided. It will be used for the scientific programme. Maximum 150 words, written in third person.

THE BURN IDENTITY – burn team challenges

The Programme Committee reserves the right to change the category if necessary.
Review process
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee. Abstracts may be accepted for oral presentation, poster presentation, or may be declined. Due to limited time slots, some abstracts submitted for oral presentation may be assigned as posters. The decision of the Programme Committee is final.
Conditions of submission
By submitting an abstract, the authors confirm that:
The work is original. All authors approve the submission. Ethical approval has been obtained where required. The abstract does not contain advertising or promotional material. The abstract may be published in congress materials. The presenting author will register for the congress if accepted.
Notification
Authors will be informed about acceptance or rejection after the review process on Sept 1, 2026. Further instructions for oral or poster presentations will be provided after acceptance.
