Dear ECPB Members, Colleagues, and Friends,

The year 2026 began with a tragic mass burn casualty in our country. Many teenagers and young adults lost their lives or were severely injured. They are currently being cared for in specialized burn centers in Switzerland and across Europe. These past few weeks have also been incredibly intense for the burn teams involved. At the same time, this period has demonstrated the strength of our global burn community, as we received overwhelming emotional and professional support from colleagues and friends worldwide. We would like to say thank you! It has become clear how vital collaboration and exchange are in providing the best possible care for our patients and their families.

Ensuring excellence in burn care through collaboration was also the motivation three decades ago when  the European Club for Paediatric Burns (ECPB) was founded by four paediatric surgeons in the Swiss Alps. In 2026, the ECPB will return home to celebrate this journey together and to carry forward its mission.

We are delighted to invite you to the 10th World Congress on Paediatric Burns, taking place from 17–20 November 2026 in Zurich, Switzerland.

This unique global gathering will bring together expertise, friendship, and a shared passion for paediatric burn care. All members of the burn care team are warmly invited to join us to discuss current challenges, share experiences, learn from international experts, and build lasting professional networks.
